Will it hurt?

All treatments are carried out by Steph who is very experienced with needles and cannulas and Steph is very gentle with her approach. Topical numbing cream is applied prior to any dermal filler treatment, the dermal filler product used contains Lidocaine, a local anaesthetic, to make the treatment as comfortable as possible. Different areas may feel more sensitive than others and everyone’s pain threshold is different, please bare this in mind prior to booking a treatment.

What are Anti-Wrinkle injections?

A type of Botulinum Toxin is injected into the muscle. This temporary stops the production of Acetylcholine, the neurotransmitter (messenger) responsible for muscle contraction. Due to this the lines caused by the movement of muscles (frowning, raised eyebrows , smiles) will soften as the muscle relaxes.

What is dermal filler?

All dermal filler products used at SJA Clinic are Hyaluronic Acid (HA) based and the highest quality. HA is naturally found in the body and as we age the amount of HA is reduced resulting in the appearance of ageing. HA is injected in to the face to restore volume, contour, add definition, fill lines & wrinkles and hydrate.

Why aren’t my lips lasting?

The injections technique causes an “inflammatory response” can last up to 3 weeks. When the swelling subsides this can sometimes result in disappointment. Hence the saying we LOVE the swell! After 2 months you may start to feel your lips look how they did pre-treatment. Don’t worry you haven’t wasted your money. The first layer of product has sunken to the base of the lip. Most clients require 2-3 layers of product, in result the product has no where else to sink, revealing fuller looking lips. Once the 3 layers have been formed you won’t need to top up the top layer for another 9-12 months.

How long does the treatment take?

Dermal Filler - treatments vary between 30-60 minutes dependant on treatment and area. This time involves the consultation, treatment and then discussing aftercare. The consultation is the most important part of your treatment, as it allows me to understand your aesthetic desired results and how we might achieve them.

Anti-Wrinkle Injections — treatment usually takes 30 mins and requires a consultation prior to your muscle relaxing treatment.

Fat Dissolving injections - treatment takes 30 minutes dependant on area size.

How Do I Book an appointment?

All appointments can be booked through the SJA booking page, all bookings require a £30 non refundable booking fee to secure the booking, the £30 will be knocked off the total amount on the day. Booking fees are paid via paypal on  on the booking page.
